At just 19 years of age, Miss Aaue Samuel Olubari has made history as the youngest candidate in the forthcoming Rivers State Local Government election.
Olubari, who is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is vying for the position of councillor representing Bangha Ward 7 in Khana Local Government Area.
Her candidacy was officially unveiled on Tuesday during a ward-to-ward sensitization campaign organized by the party. The APC Khana Chairman, Hon. Barile Ebenezer, presented her to party leaders, stakeholders, and enthusiastic supporters who gathered to witness the occasion.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ebenezer described Olubari’s emergence as a reflection of the party’s commitment to youth inclusiveness, grassroots development, and women participation in governance. He urged the people of Bangha Ward 7 to rally behind her, stressing that her youthful energy and vision will drive effective representation.
Party supporters and community leaders also hailed her candidacy as a bold step towards inspiring young people, especially women, to actively participate in politics and decision-making processes.
If elected, Olubari will not only break records as the youngest councillor in Rivers State but also set a precedent for broader youth engagement in local governance.
Would you like me to also add some of her personal background (education, community work, etc.) to make the story more compelling and human-centered?
