Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has expressed strong confidence that his re-election bid in 2027 will be far easier than his victory in the 2023 polls.
The governor spoke at the 2025 Aro Day celebration held in Arochukwu Local Government Area, where he dismissed fears surrounding the next general election.
Otti said the achievements recorded by his administration since assuming office would speak for him, noting that unlike in 2023 when he campaigned on promises, he now has tangible projects to showcase.
“Just like it happened in 2023, 2027 will be even smoother, I can assure you. In 2023, we were selling promises, but now there are things we can point to that people can see,” he said.
The Labour Party governor also observed that some political actors are already anxious about the 2027 elections, despite the polls still being some years away.
