Chelsea have reached a full agreement with Borussia Dortmund for the signing of 19-year-old English winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with the deal now set to be completed, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer has been described as a major breakthrough after intense negotiations, with Dortmund finally accepting Chelsea’s last bid late Friday.
The agreement will see Bynoe-Gittens sign a long-term contract until June 2032, securing one of England’s brightest young prospects for the future.
Romano reports that Bynoe-Gittens has always had a desire to play for Chelsea and pushed for the move once interest from Stamford Bridge became concrete.
The winger is scheduled to undergo his medical tonight in London ahead of an official unveiling by the club.
The teenager, who developed in Manchester City’s youth academy before moving to Dortmund in 2020, has shown flashes of brilliance in the Bundesliga and is seen by Chelsea as a crucial part of their rebuild under manager Enzo Maresca.
