Nigerian striker Akor Adams was on target once again as Sevilla FC played out a 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano in a closely fought Spanish league encounter.
Adams continued his impressive form in front of goal, netting his seventh league goal of the season to help Sevilla secure a valuable point in the competitive fixture played at their home ground. The Super Eagles forward showed great composure inside the box, finishing calmly to bring his side level after a tense opening period.
The match was fiercely contested, with both teams creating chances and battling for control in midfield. Sevilla pushed forward in search of a winning goal, but Rayo Vallecano’s defence held firm to deny the hosts a late breakthrough.
Another Nigerian international, Chidera Ejuke, was introduced in the 67th minute to strengthen Sevilla’s attack. The winger added pace and creativity to the team’s forward play, troubling the opposition defence with his quick runs and dribbling ability.
Despite the late attacking push and increased pressure on Rayo Vallecano, Sevilla were unable to find the decisive goal, as the visitors managed to hold on for a draw.
Adams’ latest strike further highlights his growing influence in Sevilla’s attacking line this season, as the Nigerian forward continues to play a key role for the club in the Spanish league campaign.
