Armed Fulani herdsmen on Friday launched a deadly attack on Tse Vingir, Borikyo council ward in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, killing two residents.

The victims, identified as Mr. Jerry Terhile Saatan and Mr. Gerald Aondoakaa, were gunned down during the assault, which occurred while heavy rain was falling. Several others sustained injuries in the attack.

Residents have described the killings as another reminder of the worsening insecurity in their ancestral communities, lamenting that they can no longer feel safe even within their homes.
