Saudi Women’s Premier League giants Al-Hilal have completed the signing of Nigerian international striker, Asisat Oshoala, from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Bay FC.
Oshoala, who only joined Bay FC in February 2024 after a successful spell with Barcelona Femeni, has now penned a two-year contract with the Saudi outfit. During her time in the United States, the 30-year-old forward made 38 appearances and scored seven goals.
The six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year adds significant experience and attacking prowess to Al-Hilal as the club continues to strengthen its squad in pursuit of domestic dominance.
Her arrival also boosts the growing Nigerian presence in Saudi Arabia’s women’s league, as she joins her Super Falcons teammates Francisca Ordega and Ashleigh Plumptre, who already ply their trade in the Kingdom.
Oshoala’s move further underscores the Saudi Women’s Premier League’s ambition to attract some of the biggest names in global women’s football.
