City Boys FC of Korinya-City secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Holy Cross in the ongoing Dooyum Dio Foundation Tournament, with a first-half goal from their sharp forward Aspa (jersey no. 12) proving the difference.

Aspa showed his trademark composure in front of goal, finishing clinically to extend his lead as the tournament’s top scorer. His decisive strike sent the over 2,200 fans inside the stadium into wild celebrations as City Boys took control of the game.

Despite Holy Cross pushing for an equalizer in the second half, they were unable to break through a resolute City Boys defense.

The Man of the Match award went to Deboy (jersey no. 10), a Lobi Stars FC Formal player, whose outstanding performance in midfield was pivotal to City Boys’ dominance. Deboy dictated the tempo, created chances, and earned plaudits for his work rate and creativity.

With the win, City Boys FC continue their strong run in the tournament and are now firmly considered one of the teams to watch, while Holy Cross will look to regroup and bounce back in their next outing.
