A Benue State student Nwankwo Emeka Maxwell has distinguished himself at the 2025 National Mathematics Conference held in Sokoto recently ,, securing top position in mathematics across the event
Nwankwo Emeka Maxwell of Laurel Children Academy, Gboko,,, won first place in the Quiz, for primary section while his school Laurel Children Academy , Gboko , clinched first place in the Olympiad.
Emeka Nwankwo whose papers were remarked three times before announcing him as winner , emerged victorious and did not only make his school proud, but Benue state at large.
Speaking to newsmen, master Maxwell appreciated God , his parents,teachers at Laurel Children Academy and organizers of the competition for giving him the platform to exhale and promised to maintain it.
On what he wants to become in future, the young mathematical guru said , he wants to be a medical doctor and nothing more.
” I appeal to government and other organisations to invest more in education in the country , for there are a lot of brains in the country and if enhanced well, the best will be discovered “.
Also Speaking to Dailly Asset correspondent, the father of the champion, Mr Nwankwo Malachy Emeka thanked God for the success he brought to the family and appreciated the teachers in the school of his son for the quality education given to him.
Mr Nwankwo maintained that , Children are gifts from God and are other parents Children too and appreciate everyone that had celebrated with them.
” I am happy, my son has made Benue state proud and is now an ambassador of the state despite coming from another state , for this is what I call unity and dreams of our fathers “.
The competition had other participants and schools across the thirty six states and FCT of Nigeria.
