BREAKING: Fire Engulfs UBA Branch on Lagos Island, Staff Seen Jumping to Safety

Panic gripped Lagos Island this morning as a branch of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) was engulfed by fire barely an hour ago.

Though the actual cause of the blaze is yet to be established, a viral video circulating on social media shows terrified staff members attempting to leap from the upper floors of the building in desperate bids to escape. Some workers were also seen struggling to climb out of windows to save their lives.

At the time of filing this report, emergency agencies were yet to release an official statement, but ConfirmNews gathered that firefighting efforts are currently underway to put the situation under control.
