The newly appointed media consultant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State, Bemgba Iortyom, has reportedly been attacked by unknown assailants in Makurdi, the state capital.
Iortyom disclosed that the incident occurred along George Akume Road, where his vehicle was set ablaze by the attackers.
In a brief message following the attack, the PDP media consultant said he managed to escape unharmed but is currently in hiding for safety reasons.
“I’ve been attacked and my car burnt down on George Akume Road, Makurdi. I’m safe, but in hiding at the moment,” he said.
