The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that a computer-based test (CBT) will soon be conducted for applicants shortlisted in its ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.
In a public notice signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General A.M. Jibril (Rtd.), and dated October 21, 2025, the Board expressed appreciation to members of the public for their patience throughout the recruitment process.
According to the notice, the CBT will take place across all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for successful candidates who applied to any of the four services under the Board.
Applicants have been directed to visit the official recruitment portal — https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng — next week to confirm their shortlisting status, as well as details of the test venue and schedule.
The Board further cautioned candidates to rely solely on information from its official portal and social media handles to avoid falling victim to fraudulent activities.
“All applicants are enjoined to take note of the Board’s portal address highlighted above to avoid being scammed,” the notice stated.
The CDCFIB, which oversees recruitment for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
