With the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) recruitment examinations fast approaching, thousands of applicants across Nigeria have begun an intense search for past questions and study materials to boost their chances of success.
The CDCFIB, which oversees recruitment for key security agencies such as the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), announced earlier that aptitude tests will soon commence for shortlisted candidates.

As a result, online platforms and education-focused websites have reported a sharp rise in downloads and sales of CDCFIB past questions and answers, both in PDF and print formats. Many candidates believe the materials provide valuable insight into the structure, format, and likely areas of concentration for the forthcoming test.
A candidate preparing for the exam, Grace Johnson, who applied for the Immigration Service, told ConfirmNews that access to past questions has been “a major advantage.”
“Most of us are relying on the past questions to understand the kind of general knowledge and current affairs that usually appear in the CDCFIB exams. It’s helping us get ready,” she said.

Education experts have also advised applicants to combine the use of past questions with broader study on English Language, Mathematics, Current Affairs, and Logical Reasoning, which are often part of the test
The CDCFIB has cautioned applicants to avoid falling victim to online scammers selling fake or unofficial past question materials, urging them to rely only on verified sources.components.
