American rap icon and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs has been moved to a federal correctional facility in New Jersey, where he will serve a four-year and two-month prison sentence following his conviction on prostitution-related offenses.
According to official prison records released on Friday, the 55-year-old mogul is now being held at the low-security Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix—located roughly 130 kilometers south of New York. The facility is known for its rehabilitation and drug treatment programs.
Diddy’s legal team had earlier requested his transfer to Fort Dix, where he is scheduled to remain until May 8, 2028, as confirmed by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The Bad Boy Records founder was arrested in September 2024 and found guilty in July 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution. However, a jury cleared him of the more severe allegations of sex trafficking and racketeering.
Before sentencing, a visibly emotional Combs expressed remorse in court, admitting that his past actions were “shameful and disgusting.” He offered apologies to his victims and family, acknowledging the pain he caused.
Despite beginning his prison term, Combs has filed appeals challenging both his conviction and sentence, maintaining hope for a legal reversal in the coming months.
