The immediate past Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue South Senatorial District, Chief Godwin Owulo, has officially resigned from the party.
In a letter dated October 15, 2025, and addressed to the PDP Chairman of Ukpa-Aniu-Ette Council Ward in Oju Local Government Area, Owulo stated that his decision to quit the party was based on personal reasons.
Part of the letter titled “Resignation” reads:
“This is to let you know that I, Hon. Chief Sir Godwin Owulo, the Immediate Past Zonal Chairman, People’s Democratic Party, Benue South Senatorial District, this day, the 15th of Oct. 2025, hereby resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party. The reason is personal. Wishing you well.”
Confirming the development, Chief Owulo disclosed that he has joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), signaling a new political chapter after years of active service to the PDP.
Owulo, a respected political figure from Oju LGA, has long been recognized for his contributions to grassroots mobilization and strengthening the PDP’s presence in Benue South. His defection is expected to stir new political dynamics within the district ahead of future elections.
