Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Senate Minority Leader, Senator Abba Moro, over the tragic loss of his son, Victor Moro, and his grandson, Abba Moro Jr.
In a statement issued in Makurdi on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, Governor Alia described the deaths as a “painful and devastating blow,” noting that such a tragedy would move anyone with a sense of humanity.
He urged Senator Moro, his family, and the entire Benue South Senatorial District to take solace in God’s will, reminding them that life and death remain in His hands. The governor also prayed for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and strength for the bereaved family.
Reports reveal that Victor Moro, who recently returned from Turkey after completing his studies and was preparing to begin his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), lost his life in a fatal accident along the Mararaba axis of Nasarawa State—just a day after his nephew’s burial.
