The Kebbi State Government has assured parents and guardians of the safety and security of students across the state following the recent abduction incident in Maga community, which sparked widespread concern among residents.
In a statement issued on Friday, the state government said it was taking decisive steps to secure schools and protect students, stressing that the incident would not be allowed to disrupt academic activities or threaten the wellbeing of learners.

It added that intelligence operations have been intensified, while patrols around schools—especially in vulnerable areas—have been strengthened.
According to the statement, the state is working closely with the military, police, and other security outfits to prevent a recurrence, while community leaders have been engaged to support information sharing and vigilance at the grassroots level.
