Brentford Football Club has officially announced Keith Andrews as their new manager, following the departure of Thomas Frank to Premier League giants, Tottenham Hotspur.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on Friday, stating that Andrews, who previously served as Brentford’s set-piece coach, has now been promoted to the club’s top job.
The 43-year-old Irishman steps into the managerial spotlight for the first time in the Premier League, bringing with him a reputation for tactical intelligence and attention to detail.
Thomas Frank’s move to Spurs left a significant void at Brentford, but the club has opted for internal continuity by handing the reins to Andrews, who has been an integral part of the coaching team in recent seasons.
Fans and analysts have welcomed the move, highlighting Andrews’ understanding of Brentford’s playing philosophy and his role in their set-piece success.
His appointment signals the club’s intent to maintain stability and build on the foundations laid by Frank.
Andrews, a former Republic of Ireland international midfielder, previously held coaching roles with the Irish national team and various youth setups before joining Brentford’s backroom staff.
He is expected to begin pre-season preparations immediately as Brentford gears up for the 2025/26 campaign under new leadership.
