Benue social media commentator, Asom Jerry, has raised fresh allegations against Governor Hyacinth Alia, claiming security operatives have been mobilised to track and arrest him.

In a statement on Sunday, Jerry alleged that the governor “paid DSS and Police officers heavily” to apprehend him, but said the reported plan was leaked to him before execution. According to him, security personnel are “currently in Abuja looking” for his whereabouts.

He further criticised Governor Alia’s leadership style, alleging widespread dissatisfaction within government circles.

“Gov. Alia should wet the ground so that information will stop leaking. No one is happy with his style of leadership,” Jerry said.

The social media critic also issued a stern warning, insisting that anyone involved in his alleged arrest attempt “will go down,” which he described as a direct threat.

Jerry ended his statement with a cryptic question, asking for the identity of one Moses Ternenge, without providing further context.

As of the time of filing this report, the Benue State Government and security agencies have not responded to the allegations.
