The Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh, has presented official vehicles to members of the Assembly as part of efforts to strengthen legislative work and improve the welfare of lawmakers.

At a brief ceremony on Saturday, the Speaker also handed over an official vehicle to the Clerk of the House, Mr. John Hwande, bringing relief to Assembly staff and members who had been without official cars since the inauguration of the 10th Assembly.
Among those who received vehicles were Hon. Douglas Akya, Hon. Anyor Matu, Hon. Peter Uche, Hon. Abu Edoh, Rt. Hon. Abu Umoru, and Hon. Ezra Nyiyongu.
The gesture, according to the Speaker, was to ensure that lawmakers are better equipped to discharge their constitutional duties without logistical hindrances.
Expressing gratitude, the beneficiaries commended the Speaker for his commitment to the welfare of members and pledged their loyalty and cooperation to his leadership. They also assured him of their resolve to work collectively for the progress of the Assembly and the people of Benue State.
Terver Zamber, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
