The Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC) has announced plans to commence the test-run of its newly established Benfruit Concentrate Factory, marking a significant step toward boosting the state’s agro-industrial sector.
In a press release issued by the management, BIPC disclosed that the company is set to receive the first batch of 20 truckloads of fresh oranges to be used for the test-run. The consignments are expected to be delivered on or before 30th September, 2025, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
To this end, the company is calling on major orange farmers and sellers across Benue State to register with BIPC for the supply of the fruits. Registration is currently ongoing at the BIPC Headquarters in Makurdi.
The company explained that the registration exercise is part of its strategic efforts to create a comprehensive database of orange farmers, strengthen the orange value chain, and reduce post-harvest losses that have long hindered farmers’ profitability.
“This initiative will not only support farmers by providing them with a ready market for their produce but will also contribute to job creation and industrial growth in Benue State,” the statement noted.
Interested suppliers can obtain more details by visiting the headquarters or contacting the management via the following telephone lines: 08145137817, 07067187004, and 07062426532.
The establishment of the concentrate factory, which is one of BIPC’s flagship agro-processing projects, is expected to position Benue State as a hub for orange concentrate production in Nigeria.
