Blue Ocean Health and Development Relief Initiatives has facilitated the entry of Nutrition4Humanity, in Nigeria by feeding the less privileged children and orphanage homes across the country.

The United States–based non-governmental organization, is in Nigeria as part of efforts to address the country’s rising challenges of malnutrition and food insecurity.

Speaking to Dailly Asset correspondent in Abuja while donating some items to some homes, the founder of the NGO, mr Agustine Adeniran said the gesture would focus on improving access to nutritious food, empowering vulnerable communities, and promoting sustainable health practices.

According to him, the donations comes at a critical time when millions of Nigerians, particularly children and women, face severe nutritional deficiencies.

“We are excited to bring Nutrition4Humanity to Nigeria, this will align with our mission of promoting health and development by ensuring that every household has access to safe and nutritious food”.

Mr Adeniran stressed that ,together, the NGO and stakeholders will roll out community-based programmes that prioritize vulnerable groups.

He pointed out that the organisation feeds more than hundred children at a location and the exercise will be done across the country and called on members of the public to support the initiative.

” we have been operating for more than fifteen year and this initiative would not only provide immediate relief but also promote resilience by empowering communities through nutrition education, agricultural support, and livelihood programmes” Mr Adeniran added.

The project Cordinator of Nutrition4Humanity, Mrs Alsha Adeniran expressed optimism about the initiative, noting that the NGO has successfully implemented similar programmes in parts of kaduna and other places.

“Our work in Nigeria is built on evidence-based approaches that combine food support, education, and long-term health solutions and we are committed to working closely with local stakeholders to make a lasting impact,” said Mrs Adeniran.

Aslo speaking, the Dakarchi of Kabusa district , Chief Gwoi said he was happy his district was getting international attention and called on other NGOs to emmulate what Mr Adeniran and his team has done.

The dakarchi appreciated the NGO and said his doors were always open for them to come and contribute to the development of kabusa district.

The event featured distribution of food items, sensitization of orphanage workers on health issues, among other things and
stakeholders from the health sector, media partners , and community leaders pledged their support for the project.
