At least four persons have been killed in Ayilamo, Logo Local Government Area of Benue State, following an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Residents said the armed men invaded the community late in the night, opening fire and causing panic. The incident has heightened fears in the area, which has suffered repeated attacks in recent years.
Local sources confirmed that several others sustained injuries, while many families fled their homes.
Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the attack.
