A court in Finland has sentenced controversial Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa to prison.
Ekpa, who commands a large social media following, has been accused of using online platforms to incite tension and unrest in Nigeria’s South-East region.
His directives, including “sit-at-home” orders, often resulted in violence and disruption of daily life across several states.
The ruling marks a major step by Finnish authorities in addressing his activities, which have long drawn criticism from both Nigerian officials and residents of the affected region.
