Benue and Abuja-based businessman, Haakyav Tombu Peter, popularly known as Ordubu Deli, has regained his freedom after spending days in custody.
His counsel, Barr. Vershima Shamo, confirmed that bail was granted this morning by Chief Magistrate Kelvin Mbaanongo of Magistrate Court 1, Makurdi. Shamo noted that all bail conditions were duly perfected, paving the way for his release.
News of the development sparked jubilation among Ordubu Deli’s supporters, who had been eagerly awaiting his return. Many described his release as a relief, expressing how much they missed his presence during his incarceration.
Meanwhile, the businessman is expected to address his followers on social media later today between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. During the live session, he is anticipated to share his personal account of the circumstances surrounding his arrest, detention, and eventual release.
