Demolition works have commenced at Wurukum Roundabout in Makurdi as part of preparations for the construction of a flyover.
The exercise, which began earlier today, is aimed at clearing structures around the busy roundabout to pave the way for the long-awaited project designed to ease traffic congestion in the area.
Residents and business owners were seen vacating affected structures, while heavy-duty machines have began the clearing.
The flyover, when completed, is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance the aesthetics of the state capital.
