The Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, has passed away at the age of 71. He died on Friday in Abuja after battling a long-term illness.

Dr. Bello, a respected traditional ruler and custodian of culture, had served the emirate with dedication for years, playing a vital role in promoting peace and development across the region.

His death marks a significant loss for the people of Gusau and the entire state, as he was revered for his wisdom, humility, and commitment to the well-being of his subjects.

Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the Gusau Emirate Council in line with Islamic rites.
