The leadership of the NKST Church has reacted to reports of a warrant of arrest issued against one of its pastors, Rev. Fanen Igber, describing the allegations as false, malicious, and a desperate attempt to tarnish his image.
In a statement signed by Rev. Philemon Menger Aba Chap, Director of NKST Media Services, the church expressed concern over the trending reports of a warrant of arrest on Rev. Igber, insisting that the matter is being misrepresented to the public.
According to the statement, the allegations leveled against Rev. Igber are rooted in a family dispute over the leasing of community land to a construction company. The church explained that Rev. Igber was duly delegated by the Kunav community to represent them in the land negotiations, and all necessary documents were publicly signed and available for verification.
“Rev. Fanen Igber is a disciplined and well-trained pastor, coming from a lineage of respected clergy. He has never been associated with such acts as alleged. This is purely a matter of certain aggrieved individuals within the family, who feel neglected in the land lease deal, seeking to malign his reputation,” the statement read.
The NKST further stressed that Rev. Igber is not in hiding but continues to discharge his pastoral duties as assigned to him by the church. The institution urged the public to disregard the warrant, which it described as an unfortunate and evil ploy to discredit a revered cleric.
“We therefore enjoin the general public to regard the said warrant as a desperate attempt by certain persons to tarnish the image of a revered church cleric, which the church will not take for granted. The law shall surely put it right,” the statement added.
The church also assured that all relevant documents regarding the disputed land transaction have been made available for public scrutiny and verification.

Do you want me to rewrite it in a more legal/official press release style (short, direct, and defensive) or in a news reporting style (neutral, like a journalist covering both sides)?
