The management and staff of SunRays FM, Korinya City, have paid their final respects to their late Chief Security Officer, Godwin Uga Moughkaa, whose remains were laid to rest in an emotional ceremony marked by tributes andacts of generosity.
Speaking during the burial rites, the Station Manager, Emmanuel Tyoishi, described the late Moughkaa as one of the station’s longest-serving and most dedicated staff members. He noted that his commitment to duty was exceptional, adding that his sudden passing has created a significant void within the organization that will be difficult to fill.
In a show of compassion and recognition of his service, the proprietor of the station, Senator Barnabas Gemade, commended the deceased for his diligence and loyalty throughout his six years of service. Represented at the event by the Head of Marketing, Accounts and Finance, Hon. Benedict Terlumun Ulaga, the proprietor announced the payment of six months’ salary to the bereaved family as support.
Additionally, the station extended further goodwill by offering a scholarship to the deceased’s first son at City Science and Technical Academy, Korinya City, ensuring continuity in the child’s education despite the family’s loss.
Responding on behalf of the family, Rev. J.A. Uga Snr expressed heartfelt appreciation to the management and staff of Sun Rays FM for their kindness and support during the difficult period. He prayed for divine blessings and abundant rewards for their generosity.
Other staff members present at the ceremony included Dominic Akaayar, Fidelis Faior, and Abe Benjamin. A key highlight of the event was the formal presentation of the six months’ salary, staff welfare contributions, and the scholarship letter to the grieving family, underscoring the station’s commitment to standing by its own even in times of loss.
