Ukum, Benue State | September 4, 2025 – The Tor Sankera and Chairman of the Sankera Intermediate Area Traditional Council, His Royal Highness Chief David Sevav JP, has convened an exclusive high-level meeting of selected leaders across the Sankera geopolitical bloc.
According to a notice issued by Kolough Clems Jnr, Media Adviser to the Tor Sankera, the meeting is scheduled to hold on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukum Local Government Guest House, Sankera.
Those invited include the chairmen of the three local government areas in Sankera – Hon. Jonathan Modi (Ukum), Hon. Justin Justine Shaku (Katsina-Ala), and Hon. Kav Clement (Logo). Also expected are the paramount rulers of the bloc: HRH Orkaa Kaave (Ter Ukum), HRH Gbakaan Tativ (Ter Katsina-Ala), and HRH Jimmy Meeme (Ter Logo), alongside third-class chiefs and all district heads in Sankera.
The religious community will be heavily represented, with leading figures such as Archbishops Amough Daudu and Chia Abraham; Bishops Taver William, Ornan Timothy, Joe Tersur Aun, Uzua Mne Nicholas, Akaayar Godwiin, Adu Tyav Emmanuel, Tarzaar Francis, and Ikyodura Samuel, among others, listed to attend. Several venerables, including Nyityo Ushahemba, Akuchia Gideon, and Tyoshom Joseph, are also on the attendance roll.
Elders and notable personalities from the region, such as Mr. Shian Namkpindi, Hon. Teryima Nguher, Chief Boga Abuur, Simon Kaaor, Hon. Aguta Ucho, and Zaki Christopher Bozwa, are among the 17 prominent elders invited.
While the agenda of the meeting was not disclosed in the notice, the exclusive gathering is expected to deliberate on pressing issues affecting the Sankera axis of Benue State, which has in recent years been at the center of security and developmental challenges.
The meeting, convened under the authority of Tor Sankera, underscores the traditional council’s commitment to engaging political, religious, and community leaders in seeking solutions to challenges confronting the people of Sankera.
