Chelsea will once again have a strong presence at the London Football Awards after six players were shortlisted for honours ahead of the 2026 ceremony.
In a statement published on the club’s official website on Monday, Moises Caicedo, Estevao Willian, Millie Bright, Wieke Kaptein, Alyssa Thompson and Keira Walsh were all confirmed as nominees across several categories.
The winners will be revealed on Thursday, March 5, at Exhibition White City.
The London Football Awards, now running for more than a decade, celebrate outstanding football achievements across the capital, with Chelsea often among the top winners.
Last year, Cole Palmer claimed two awards, while Sonia Bompastor, Aggie Beever-Jones and Guro Reiten were also recognised.
Caicedo and Estevao Head Men’s Nominations
Moises Caicedo has been shortlisted for Premier League Player of the Year, with the Ecuadorian midfielder aiming to succeed Palmer as the award’s next recipient.
Caicedo has been instrumental in Chelsea’s midfield this season, combining defensive strength with attacking contributions. His three Premier League goals already mark his highest scoring campaign to date.
Meanwhile, Brazilian youngster Estevao Willian has earned a nomination for Men’s Young Player of the Year following an impressive debut season in west London.
Estevao has scored six goals in all competitions, including a strike in Chelsea’s 3-0 UEFA Champions League win over Barcelona and a late Premier League winner against Liverpool.
Walsh, Thompson and Kaptein Recognised in Women’s Categories
In the women’s game, England international Keira Walsh is in contention for Women’s Super League Player of the Year.
Walsh has been central to Chelsea’s strong start to the season, scoring the decisive goal in a derby victory over Tottenham Hotspur and helping England retain the European Championship over the summer.
Young talents Alyssa Thompson and Wieke Kaptein have both been nominated for Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Thompson has enjoyed an outstanding first season in England, scoring six goals to become Chelsea’s leading scorer in the WSL. Kaptein, meanwhile, has continued her rise after receiving a Ballon d’Or nomination last year.
Millie Bright Nominated for Community Award
Chelsea captain Millie Bright has also been shortlisted for the Women’s PFA Player in the Community Champion award, which honours players leading impactful community initiatives throughout 2025.
The 2026 London Football Awards ceremony will take place on March 5, where Chelsea’s nominees will hope to add to the club’s growing list of honours.
