Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández has identified Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos as the opponent who impressed him the most in his career.
Fernandez recalled facing Kroos during a past UEFA Champions League clash between Chelsea and Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu, describing the German’s performance as exceptional.
“The opponent player that impressed me the most? Toni Kroos,” Fernandez said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
“It was Real Madrid vs Chelsea at the Bernabeu, and he was so impressive. Luka Modrić too.”
Kroos retired from professional football in 2024 following the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament, bringing an end to a decorated career that saw him win multiple titles, including the UEFA Champions League and La Liga.
