The Dooyum Dio Foundation Tournament produced another electrifying clash on Saturday, August 16, as Holy Cross Tian secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over City Galaxy FC Korinya-City in front of an excited crowd.
The game came alive in the first half when Terkuma (No. 9) fired home a brilliant opener to put Holy Cross Tian ahead. Moments later, Simon (No. 8) doubled the lead with a composed finish, sending their fans into wild celebrations.
City Galaxy responded swiftly as Number 7 pulled one back, reducing the deficit to 2-1 before halftime. Despite both teams creating more chances in the second half, the scoreline remained unchanged until the final whistle.
City Galaxy’s playmaker, Mustafa Yusuf (No. 10), stood out with his creativity and relentless effort, earning the Man of the Match award.
The match was officiated by Aondofa Aberangi, popularly known as “Yellow,” who has been one of the most consistent referees of the tournament.
