Mason Greenwood is on the brink of a sensational return to international football—this time in the colours of Jamaica.

The 22-year-old forward, who previously featured for England, has reportedly obtained a Jamaican passport, taking a significant step toward switching his international allegiance to the Caribbean nation.

With his passport secured, all that now stands between Greenwood and his debut for the ‘Reggae Boyz’ is official clearance from FIFA to change associations—from the English Football Association (FA) to the Jamaican Football Federation (JFF).

Should the switch be approved, Greenwood could be called up for Jamaica’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Bermuda and Trinidad and Tobago scheduled for later this year.

Greenwood, once regarded as one of England’s brightest attacking prospects, has not played for the Three Lions since 2020. His potential inclusion could significantly boost Jamaica’s firepower as they aim to qualify for their first World Cup since 1998.

Football fans are now eagerly watching to see if Greenwood’s international comeback will be sealed with a Jamaican debut.
