Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has expressed concern over the fitness of key players Victor Osimhen and Noa Lang following their side’s4-0 defeat to Liverpool FC in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg at Anfield.

The Turkish champions were thoroughly outplayed on the night, crashing out of the competition in emphatic fashion. However, beyond the disappointing result, Galatasaray now face additional worries with injuries to two of their attacking stars.

Speaking after the match, Buruk confirmed that Osimhen had to be substituted after experiencing increased discomfort during the game, raising concerns about his availability for upcoming fixtures.

“Victor Osimhen is also in pain. We had to take him out of the game because his pain worsened,” Buruk said.

The situation appears more immediate for Lang, who reportedly suffered a serious finger injury during the encounter. The Dutch forward is expected to undergo further medical examination to determine the extent of the damage.

“Noa Lang has a serious injury to his finger. He will be going to the hospital here,” Buruk added.

The injuries could compound Galatasaray’s woes as they shift focus back to domestic competitions, with fans anxiously awaiting updates on the duo’s condition in the coming days.
