Some of the biggest names in goalkeeping have been named on the shortlist for the 2025 Yachine Trophy, an annual award presented to the best goalkeeper in the world.
Leading the list are Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, Real Madrid’s Thibaut Courtois, and PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, all of whom delivered standout performances during the 2024/25 season.
They are joined by Morocco’s Yassine Bounou, who continues to shine on the international stage, and Lille’s Lucas Chevalier, whose displays in Ligue 1 have earned him widespread recognition.
The Yachine Trophy, created in honour of legendary Soviet goalkeeper Lev Yashin, is part of the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards. Yashin remains the only goalkeeper in history to win the Ballon d’Or.
This year’s winner will be unveiled at the Ballon d’Or ceremony later in the year.
