The district head of Garki Shakwope His Royal Highness , TPl, Chief Stephen Shekwonce Yakubu recently received an Ambassadorial Award for Exceptional Leadership and Global Peace from the international centre for development and population activities (CIPA) for his contribution to the development of his district and Abuja at large.

The district head said the award will motivate him to do more to the society especially in the area of peace and development .

” I am sure this is coming because of my outstanding leadership qualities, commitment to peace building, and consistent contributions to community development and social harmony”. I really appreciate it.

Chief Yakubu stressed that ,when he was called upon by CIPA for the award, he did a research of the organization and found out the good works they have been doing in the country, projects embarked on and the calibre of people who have been honored in the past and he accepted it.

In his speech , the executive director of CIPA international, Mr Joseph David pointed out that, chief Yakubu was celebrated due to his remarkable role as a bridge-builder, mentor, and advocate for unity, whose influence continues to extend beyond local boundaries.

” Chief Yakubu’s leadership style rooted in service, inclusiveness, and integrity has earned him widespread respect across diverse communities and professional circles “.

His dedication to promoting peaceful coexistence, empowering individuals, and supporting sustainable development aligns strongly with the core principles of global peace and responsible leadership. Mr David added.

Mr David said the honour reflects years of dedication, sacrifice, and purposeful service and stands as a powerful testament to his enduring impact and his commitment to fostering unity, progress, and harmony within society.
