Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong was in Akwa Ibom on Sunday, attending the final match of his U15 Boys Tournament at the Dakkada Civic Center, Uyo.

The event is part of his youth-focused initiative under the Troost Ekong Foundation, which aims to empower young people through sports and education.

Despite just concluding a packed weekend in Lagos—where he hosted the 2nd edition of the William Troost Ekong Foundation Charity Match 2025 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena—Troost-Ekong ensured his presence at the grassroots final, demonstrating his strong commitment to youth development.

The final clash sees Blessed Stars Football Academy go head-to-head with Artisan FC in what promises to be a thrilling display of emerging football talent.

Troost-Ekong’s hands-on involvement continues to inspire the next generation of Nigerian footballers both on and off the pitch.
