US President Donald Trump has arrived in Israel amid renewed hopes for peace following the release of the first seven Israeli captives by Hamas in Gaza.

The hostages were handed over to the International Committee of the Red Cross under a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Officials confirmed that thirteen more captives are expected to be freed later today as part of the ongoing truce efforts.

Trump’s visit is expected to focus on supporting mediation efforts and strengthening US-Israel relations during the critical peace process.
