The Tiv Youths Organization (TYO), Abuja Chapter, has congratulated Barr. Cosmas Ternenge Akighir on his appointment and inauguration as the Board Chairman of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), which took place on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
In a goodwill message signed by its Secretary, Barr. Awuapila Daniel, on behalf of the Acting President, Mr. Titus Tersoo Iorlaha, the group described Akighir’s appointment as a well-deserved recognition of his commitment, capacity, and proven leadership in service to the people.
“Your appointment is a testament to your years of dedication and impactful leadership. We are confident that your tenure will usher in meaningful development, inclusiveness, and progress across the entire North-Central region,” the statement read.
The organization further pledged its continuous support and prayers for the success of Akighir’s administration, adding that his elevation is a source of pride and encouragement to the Tiv nation and the region at large.
“Once again, congratulations on this noble responsibility,” the statement concluded.
