President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on the occasion of her 65th birthday, describing her as the anchor of his life and an enduring source of strength through his personal and political journey.
In a heartfelt message issued on Sunday from the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the President expressed deep gratitude for the First Lady’s unwavering support, calling her sacrifices “the unseen foundation” that has shaped both his family and his public service.
“As you turn 65 today,” the President wrote, “I celebrate not only my beloved wife but also a woman whose quiet courage and unshakable grace have kept me steady through the defining seasons of my life.”
Tinubu recalled their shared experiences of political struggles, years of exile, and the weight of leadership, noting that through it all, Oluremi remained steadfast. “You have stood beside me with dignity and patience that cannot be put into words. In every storm, your resilience has been my shelter,” he said.
The President also highlighted her dual role in private and public life. “You are my confidant and counsellor, a beacon of faith for our children and grandchildren, and a shining example of compassion and fortitude for our nation. Nigeria sees in you the strength of womanhood — firm yet tender, humble yet resolute,” he added.
Acknowledging her sacrifices beyond the spotlight, Tinubu remarked: “Nigeria owes you more than many realise. Your quiet service — carrying burdens without complaint — has contributed to this nation as surely as my own efforts from the podium.”
He went on to express his gratitude as both husband and head of state: “As your husband, I thank God for your life and love. As President, I honour you as First Lady whose empathy touches countless lives. And as your lifelong companion, I say I love you more than ever.”
Concluding his message, Tinubu wished her continued joy and fulfilment: “Happy 65th birthday, Oluremi. May the years ahead bring peace, happiness, and the rewards you richly deserve.
