Former federal law maker and elder statesman, Senator Barnabas Gemade, has congratulated the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, on his re-nomination as the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate and running mate to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
Gemade described Shettima’s re-nomination as a clear demonstration of confidence in his steadfast loyalty, competence, and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the APC and the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration.
According to him, the decision reflects the party’s resolve to preserve stability, continuity, and effective leadership as it prepares for another electoral contest.
The former federal lawmaker noted that the Tinubu-Shettima partnership has remained focused on addressing national challenges, strengthening democratic institutions, improving infrastructure, expanding economic opportunities, and promoting national unity.
He said the achievements recorded by the administration have further justified the confidence reposed in the leadership of both President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.
Gemade expressed optimism that the APC would once again secure the confidence of Nigerians at the 2027 general election, urging party members at all levels to close ranks, remain united, and intensify grassroots mobilization in support of the party’s candidates across the country.
He stated that electoral victory is built on unity, discipline, effective engagement with the people, and the ability of leaders to deliver on their promises, expressing confidence that the APC possesses the experience and political structure required to retain power democratically in 2027.
The elder statesman prayed for God’s continued protection, wisdom, sound health, and strength for Vice President Shettima as he continues to serve the nation alongside President Tinubu.
