2027: APC Completes 100% Upload Of 471 Candidates On INEC Portal
According to a report by Daily Post, on Sunday July 12, 2026, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the completion of the submission of its candidates for the 2027 general elections to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The announcement was made by the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, in a statement released on Saturday, according to him, the ruling party has successfully uploaded all its candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal ahead of the elections.
Yilwatda disclosed that the APC submitted a total of 471 candidates for various elective positions across the country, the list includes the party’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates, 109 candidates for the Senate, and 360 candidates seeking seats in the House of Representatives.
The APC chairman described the development as an important achievement for the party as it continues preparations for the next general elections, he noted that the successful completion of the nomination process reflects the party’s commitment to meeting electoral requirements within the stipulated timeframe.
He commended party leaders, stakeholders, and members for their efforts in ensuring that the nomination exercise was completed without major challenges, according to him, the achievement demonstrates the level of coordination and unity within the party ahead of the campaign season.
With the submission process now concluded, the APC leadership said attention will shift to political mobilization and campaign activities across the country, the party plans to strengthen its structures at the national, state, and local levels as it seeks support from voters ahead of the polls.
