The Orkar family has announced the death and funeral arrangements for their beloved matriarch, Mrs. Esther Ngurumun Orkar, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
In a funeral announcement signed by Rev. Dr. Malcolm Orkar on behalf of the family, Mrs. Orkar was described as a loving mother and matriarch whose life was defined by love, selfless sacrifice, wisdom, and service to her family and community.

The family said her death has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, while expressing gratitude for the legacy she left behind.

According to the burial arrangements, the Service Songs will hold on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at Living Faith Church, Orozo, Abuja.
The Service of Songs will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at NKST Church, Makurdi, Benue State.
The Wake is scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026, while the interment will take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Tse Orkar, Ugba, Mbawuar, Mbadede, Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.
The family said further details concerning the funeral programme, service times, and other activities would be communicated in due course.
The Orkar family also expressed appreciation for the prayers, condolences, and support received during the period of mourning.
They prayed that the soul of their beloved mother, Mrs. Esther Ngurumun Orkar, would rest eternally in the peaceful bosom of the Lord.
