Tomas formalized his return to the APC on Monday during a visit to the Abuja residence of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin. The meeting underscored the importance of the move, particularly as political parties begin positioning themselves ahead of the next electoral cycle.In a statement personally signed by him, Senator Barau Jibrin welcomed the lawmaker back to the APC and described the move as a positive development for both the party and the state. He emphasized that Tomas’ return reflected a commitment to development, unity, and effective governance.
Barau stated, “Today, I had the honour of receiving back Hon. Muhammad Ahmad Tomas, member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Makoda State Constituency, to our great party, the All Progressives Congress, from the Nigeria Democratic Congress.”
The Deputy Senate President further noted that the return of the lawmaker would strengthen the APC’s political structure in Kano North Senatorial District and across Kano State. He expressed confidence that the move would contribute to the party’s preparations for future political contests.
Senator Barau also assured Tomas of equal opportunities within the APC and called on party members to remain united as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
