President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a crucial meeting with governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting, taking place at the Council Chamber rather than the initially proposed Conference Room, has in attendance several key governors, including Babagana Zulum (Borno), Hope Uzodimma (Imo), Hyacinth Alia (Benue), Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Peter Mbah (Enugu), and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), among others.
It was also gathered that some states are being represented by their deputy governors, indicating a broad level of participation across the party’s leadership.
The high-level engagement comes barely three weeks before the APC is expected to conduct its primary elections in preparation for the 2027 general elections, raising expectations that key political decisions and strategies may be discussed during the meeting.
