Senior pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Johnson Suleman, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take decisive action to address Nigeria’s worsening security challenges or consider stepping down from office.
Speaking during a recent sermon, Apostle Suleman expressed concern over the persistent cases of killings, kidnappings and violent attacks across different parts of the country, stating that the primary responsibility of any government is the protection of lives and property.
The cleric said Nigerians elected leaders with the expectation that they would provide security and improve the welfare of citizens, stressing that continued insecurity has left many communities living in fear.
According to him, if the government is unable to effectively tackle the security crisis, it should be honest with Nigerians about its limitations. He maintained that leadership comes with accountability and that citizens deserve to feel safe in their homes and communities.
Suleman further called on security agencies to intensify efforts against criminal elements terrorising various parts of the country, while urging the federal government to adopt more practical and result-oriented measures to restore peace and stability.
His comments come amid growing public concern over the security situation in several states, with many Nigerians calling for stronger actions to curb violent crimes and protect vulnerable communities.
