JUST IN: APC Youths Intercept Alia’s Point Man in Gboko
Tension reportedly erupted in Gboko, Benue State, after two aides of Governor Hyacinth Alia were allegedly intercepted by youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over primary election materials.
The officials, identified as Hon. James Tor and Hon. Smart Girgi, were reportedly stopped by APC youths who accused them of attempting to leave with materials meant for the party’s primary election exercise.

Sources said the incident triggered a confrontation as aggrieved party members demanded explanations regarding the movement of the materials. Eyewitnesses claimed that a large crowd gathered at the scene, leading to heightened tension within the area.
The youths were said to have insisted that the electoral materials remain under proper supervision to ensure transparency and credibility in the conduct of the primary election.
