United States President Donald Trump has hinted that a peace agreement with Iran is close to being finalized, saying negotiations have largely been concluded, including plans to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump disclosed this on Saturday in a post shared on his Truth Social platform, where he revealed that he had held discussions with several Middle Eastern leaders regarding the proposed agreement.
According to the US president, the deal is currently awaiting final approval between the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and other involved countries.
He stated that final details of the agreement are still being discussed and would be announced soon.
“Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly. In addition to many other elements of the Agreement, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened,” Trump wrote.
