According to Vanguard, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently holding a closed-door meeting with Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia and former Benue Governor Senator Gabriel Suswam at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting comes at a time when the APC in Benue is facing internal tensions, particularly over the Benue Central senatorial ticket and the ongoing struggle for control of the party structure ahead of the 2027 elections.

Suswam, who recently joined the APC from the PDP, was initially declared the winner of the party’s Benue Central senatorial ticket before the appeal committee reversed the outcome.

As of the time of this report, the Presidency has not released an official statement, and the details of the meeting remain undisclosed. However, the timing has fueled speculation that it may be part of efforts to restore peace and unity within the Benue APC.
