No Alternative to Alia in 2027, Benue Links GM Declares
The General Manager of Benue Links Nigeria Limited, Mr. Alexander Fananfa, has declared that there is no alternative to Governor Hyacinth Alia ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Benue State.
Speaking with journalists in Makurdi, Fananfa said Governor Alia has performed creditably since assuming office and deserves a second term to continue his developmental projects across the state.
He stated that the governor has positively impacted the lives of Benue residents through the execution of people-oriented projects, including road construction and improvements in public transportation.
The Benue Links boss highlighted the provision of 100 buses by the state government to the transport company, describing it as a major intervention that has helped address transportation challenges in the state.
Fananfa revealed that when he assumed office three years ago, the company had only about 20 vehicles in operation. He said the fleet has since expanded significantly, with the addition of the 100 buses provided by the government and about 30 more vehicles procured by the company.
According to him, the expansion has created employment opportunities for about 130 drivers. He added that all staff members are employed on a permanent basis and earn not less than the state’s minimum wage of N75,000.
He further disclosed that Benue Links conducts regular training programmes for its drivers to ensure professionalism and improved service delivery.
Fananfa also noted that the company has expanded its operations by establishing additional parks, opening routes to about 33 states, addressing flooding challenges at its headquarters, and introducing an online booking system for passengers.
He maintained that Governor Alia’s achievements over the past three years have earned him the confidence of the people and justified calls for his re-election in 2027.
